Artist

Tamara Aladin (Hamina Finland 1932 – Hamina Finland 2019) was a Finish designer, most known for her Art-glas designed for the Riihimäki Riihimäen glassworks. She attended the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in the mid 1950’s. Aladin designed more than 150 different designs for Riihimäki between 1957 and 1976. Once Finlands largest glassworks, Riihimäki Riihimäen stopped the production of art glass in 1976 and was forced to close doors in 1990.

The tallest emerald green vase has the original plastic transparent Riihimäki Riihimäen Lasi Oy sticker on the bottom. Underneath a paper sticker of Galerie De Specht in Leuven (Belgium).

The 2nd tallest medium blue vase also bears the original Riihimäen Lasi Oy sticker.

The 3rd tallest light blue vase also bears the original Riihimäen Lasi Oy sticker.

The 4th tallest light purple vase is etched marked Riimaen Lasi Oy Finland and modelnumber 1365 in diamondpen.

The 5th tallest (smallest) darker purple vase vase is etched marked Riimaen Lasi Oy Finland and modelnumber 1379 in diamondpen.
