A complete set of turned mold-blown crystal, line cut Art object “Kantarelli” (Chantarel), model 3280. Designed by Tapio Wirkkala in 1946 and executed by the Iittala glassworks, Finland circa 1955.
This iconic object was made in three sizes and has been in production between 1948 and 1960 and 1981 onward in numbered series. This is a rare complete set of Kantarelli’s made in the 1950’s.
For his Kantarelli designs, Tapio Wirkkala was awarded a “Grand Prix” on the 9th Triennale di Milano, 1951.
